Adam Owings readies a Styrofoam blank to be made into a precisely shaped board using the Aku Shaper.
The Aku Shaper is a custom made computer numerically controlled machine, and MHL’s happens to be one of the largest in the world able to cut up to 16.5 feet. Depending on size, shaping a board can take anywhere from 30 minutes to 3.5 hours.
Jonathan “Choco” Reyes “de flashes” the excess resin from the mold.
Jose “Chewi” Ortiz makes finishing touches to the mold so the parts fit together perfectly and they can mount level.
